Agile-Podcast-Q2-2025

Each quarter, Sue Keith, Landrum Talent Solutions Corporate VP, joins Greg Kihlstrom on The Agile Brand Podcast to discuss the State of the (Marketing Hiring) Union.

In the latest show, Sue talks about:

  • The job market for marketers remains challenging. Amid ongoing political and economic uncertainty, many companies continue to be cautious, delaying investments and keeping hiring plans on hold.

  • Contractors are filling the hiring gaps. With headcounts frozen but workloads unchanged, companies are turning to contract talent to bridge staffing gaps and ensure critical projects stay on track.

  • Marketing leaders must reframe the AI narrative. As concerns grow that AI could replace marketing roles, marketing executives have an opportunity to shift the narrative. By championing how AI can enhance, rather than replace, their teams’ impact, they can position marketing as an even greater strategic asset.

  • Strategic networking is more important than ever. In this competitive landscape, building and maintaining professional connections is essential. Engaging with industry associations, volunteering, and forming small peer groups can make networking less intimidating and more effective.
